Clare was the wettest county in Ireland in March.
Met Eireann has revealed that it recorded 170% of the typical rainfall amounts at Shannon Airport in March.
On March 3rd alone 32 millimetres of rain was recorded there, the highest amount of rainfall recorded in any March day at Shannon since 1946.
