Dog Warden Issues Advice To Keep Social Distancing While Walking Your Pet

Dog owners in Clare are being urged to keep their pets on leads while out walking, to ensure they’re in keeping with social distancing guidelines.

With people being warned to stay within a 2km radius of their home until Sunday at least, the number of people out walking has risen significantly.

However, there have been reports of instances where dogs not on leads have run over to strangers, meaning the owners have to break the recommended 2m distancing to get their animal under control.
