Get Beef Deal Over The Line And Focus On Brexit – Clare IFA Chair

The Clare chair of the IFA insists it’s vital to get a resolution in the beef crisis quickly so that farming organisations can focus on Brexit preparations.

Talks in the long-running dispute reached an impasse last night and Agriculture Minister Michael Creed is to intervene today in an effort to broker a deal.

It’s now been a week and a half since protesting farmers agreed to stand down their demonstrations, which led to temporary lay offs at meat plants across the country, to engage in talks.
