The Department of Social Protection says just over 1100 people in Clare have received enhanced illness support payments after being forced to take time off work because of COVID-19.
The 350 euro support is available only to those who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have been medically cleared to self-isolate since the beginning of the pandemic.
The 1,100 figure is an overall total dating back to March.
