Concern Over Lack Of Support For Young Disabled Adults Leaving Childrens Services

Concern is being expressed that not enough is being done to support young disabled adults, when they leave childrens’ services.

Many young people living with either physical or mental disabilities are catered for in the school or care system up to the age of 18 but after that time, there is no clear path forward.

Barefield Independent Councillor Ann Norton has hit out at the lack of available transitionary services, to help them adapt to adult life.
