Clare SVP Call For Budget Relief For Single Parent Families

The Clare branch of Saint Vincent de Paul is calling for relief for single parents families in next week’s budget.

The charity is concerned that there are 139,000 children living in constant poverty in Ireland – as well as over 3,000 children in homelessness.

In particular, one parent families are susceptible – with Saint Vincent de Paul saying people in this situation are 3.5 times more likely to live in poverty.
