On today’s show we covered sexual assault and homelessness in the midwest, as well as celebrating Susan Nagle, an oncology nurse from Ballyea, who has been awarded for her work in cancer research. We also heard from our regulars: the money doctor and the dog warden. Catch up below:

First on the show, Pat Flynn spoke to Tracey Reddy from Midwest Simon about the homelessness crisis. The figures have recently exceeded ten thousand for the first time ever and continue to rise.

Then we had Miriam Duffy, the director of Rape Crisis Midwest, to talk about the issue of sexual assault and why many are calling on the government to treat it as an epidemic, seeing as sex crimes reached an all time high of three thousand last year.
