Clare hotels have been among the winners at this year’s Irish Hotels Awards.
The four-star Shannon Springs Hotel was presented with a ‘Great Place to Stay Quality Award’ while one of its duty managers, Michael Hayes, was singled out for praise.
Michael, who is currently a student in the Shannon College of Hotel Management, began working at the hotel four years ago, at the age of 17, and was named as the ‘Rising Star Of The Year.’

The Armada Hotel in Spanish Point was also named as Hotel Bar of the Year for Munster at this week’s virtual ceremony.
