A status yellow low temperature and ice warning has been issued for Clare and the rest of the country.

Met Éireann is warning of widespread frost and ice, as temperatures fall below minus 3 degrees or lower in many places.
Separately, the forecaster is warning of hazardous travelling conditions and animal welfare issues, with significant accumulations of sleet and snow likely in some counties.
