Pedestrian access to two footpaths in Ennis is to be restored.
Clare County Council has confirmed that due to increased footfall and traffic arising from the opening of the new De Valera library, the fencing around the construction site of the proposed Francis Street affordable housing development will be moved back.

The move will reopen the previously covered footpaths on Francis Street and Causeway Link Road.
Interim Ennis 2040 DAC COO Padraic McElwee confirmed on March 4th that discussions with the Housing Agency and Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage on options for the site have been recommenced following the withdrawal of a judicial review.
