‘It Wouldn’t Happen To The Men’ – Hickey

A Clare referee says the situation faced by Galway and Cork’s Ladies Footballers wouldn’t have happened to the men in the sport.

Their All Ireland Semi Final was switched to Croke Park yesterday morning after the Parnell Park pitch was frozen.

However, the last minute nature of the switch and the change of time has led to a barrage of criticism over the decision.
