World Handball Championships

Hopes are high for Clare success at the World Handball Championships in Citywest, Dublin with four of the county’s competitors competing for World Titles today.

Kilkishen’s Colin Creehan has won through to the Boy’s Under 17 Final, and John Cawley of Shannon has won through to the Final of the Golden Masters B competition.

Diamuid Nash of Tuamgraney is also into the final of the Men’s Under-23 this afternoon, while Clooney’s Fergal Coughlan beat the boy’s under 15 competition’s top seed to make it through to that decider.

There was disappointment, however, in their respective semi-finals for Ella Donnellan, Tiernan Agnew, Declan Frawley and Fergal Coughlan in the Masters.
