The road to the 2016 Clare Senior Hurling title will become a bit clearer for the final 8 clubs involved when the draw for the quarter finals is made this evening.
Sixmilebridge won't be in the hat after the champions were dethroned in their playoff round clash against neighbours Wolfe Tones.
The Shannon men are now just 60 minutes away from the semi finals, 12 months after they claimed the Clare and Munster intermediate titles.
Manager James Carrig says they were determined to prove they can perform at the top level.
Also going into the hat are 2014 champions Cratloe, along with Tulla and Ballyea.
They will form one side of the draw, with Clonlara, Crusheen, Eire Óg and Feakle in the other side.
No repeat pairings are allowed for the last 8, with the draw for the intermediate and junior quarter finals also to be held tonight.
It gets underway from 6.15pm
