Tubber recovered from the concession of a goal midway through the opening half to lead at the break, but Cian O’Rourke’s long range effort proved the difference between the sides.
Wolfe Tones manager Barry Keane said it was a tough way for their opponents to lose the game, and felt both sides would have been happy to go to extra-time.
