Tulla and Inagh/Kilnamona recorded wins last evening in the final two games of Round 1 of this year’s Clare Senior Hurling Championship.
Inagh-Kilnamona had seven points to spare over Whitegate, winning that game by 0-16 to 0-09 – only a point had separated the sides at the break.
Tulla beat O’Callaghans Mills in a resounding scoreline of 1-14 to 1-07 – the Mills goal in the game at Cusack Park came as a late consolation.
Meanwhile four teams top group 3 after a pair of draws this weekend.
Killanena and Smith O’Brien’s played out a draw in Scariff – 0-10 to 1-07 was the final score there while on Saturday evening Crusheen drew with Kilmaley, 1-13 apiece
Sixmilebridge beat Clarecastle on Friday evening in another close game – that one finished 0-15 to 1-11 win for the bridge.
In the Intermediate championship meanwhile there were wins this weekend for Ruan, Crusheen and Parteen over Bodyke, Clarecastle and Sixmilebridge.
