Whelan remains doubt for Qualifier

Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni maybe forced into a late change ahead of tonight’s World Cup qualifier against Sweden at the Friends Arena.

Midfielder Glen Whelan is still carrying an ankle injury and remains a doubt, if he doesn’t start Wigan’s James McCarthy is likely to get the nod.
