Glenn Whelan has pulled out of the Irish squad ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Austria.
The FAI confirmed his departure following a scan on a hamstring injury yesterday.

Hull’s Stephen Quinn has been called up as a replacement.
Jon Walters also underwent a scan on an ankle injury, and is sitting out training this morning as a precaution.
He’s expected to be fit for Tuesday’s game.
