A number of Clare players will be in action this weekend as the Waterford Crystal Cup gets underway on Sunday.
11 Clare players are part of the L.I.T panel who meet Tipperary, though it’s unclear how many will be in action as the likes of Tony Kelly and Cathal McInerney remain on holiday with the county seniors.
Six Claremen are also part of the UL hurling panel for the competition, including Podge Collins, Seadna Morey and Paul Flanagan.
They begin with a meeting against Waterford while in the other game, Limerick meet IT Tralee with the winners going on to take on Clare in the last eight.
The McGrath Cup semi-finals see Cork play UL and Kerry take on Cork Institute of Technology. There are no Clare players involved with either of the students’ teams.
