Doonbeg and Cooraclare have accepted walkovers from Kilmurry Ibrickane and St Josephs Miltown in this afternoons semi finals.
The meeting of Kilmurry and Doonbeg was scheduled to take place in Cooraclare at 12 noon, but the defending champions informed the organisers they would not be in a position to fulfill the fixture at that time. Doonbeg togged out as per the fixture and provided referee Brian Keniry with their team sheet. As Kilmurry were not in attendance for the fixture, the Magpies were awarded the victory.
A similar situation transpired in Quilty as Cooraclare and Miltown were scheduled to get underway at 12 noon. Miltown informed organisers that they were not in a position to fulfill the fixture, and Cooraclare took the walkover by lining out taking the symbolic winning score.
It remains to be seen if Kilmurry or Miltown will seek an appeal on the walkover decisions. The final of the competition is due to take place on the weekend on July 5th and 6th.
