Doora Barefield manager Donagh Vaughan is challenging his players to take a major scalp in order to further their development at senior level.
The Parish narrowly lost out to Cratloe in their opening game of the senior football championship, with the south-east Clare men withstanding a third quarter surge to see out the win.
Vaughan says they need to come out on the right side of a tight result in order to kickstart their championship ambitions
Meanwhile St Breckan’s boss Donie Garrihy feels improving on their discipline will be key if they’re to get back on track in this year’s championship.
The North Clare men suffered the blow of a straight red card for captain Dale Masterson late in their opening round loss to Eire Óg, at a stage when the result was in the balance.
Garrihy is confident they will regroup, but knows improvements will be needed next time out.
