Varley Misses Out On Six Nations

Killaloe’s Damien Varley has missed out on a spot inthe Ireland squad for the Six nations, which begins next month.

However, the Munster hooker is among the 22 men named in the Ireland Wolfhounds squad for their match with the England Saxons at the end of the month.

Luke Fitzgerald and Tomas O’Leary have also been left out of Declan Kidneys 24 man squad for the Six Nations, and join Varley in the Wolfhounds squad.

A total of six Munster men are named in the Six Nations squad, including captain Paul O’Connell.

Ian Nagle, Peter O’Mahony, Simon Zebo and Connacht’s Tiernan O’Halloran are among six additional players who will be called to the first week of the Ireland training camp.

The campaign begins at home to Wales on February 5th.
