Reports in today’s newspapers suggest that Manchester United are set to make a move for Southampton left back Luke Shaw.

David Moyes has been looking to recruit a left full back since the summer and had two unsuccessful bids for Everton’s Leighton Baines in the last transfer window.
Moyes now looks set to abandon his interest in Baines and make a 20 million pounds bid for 18 year old Shaw instead.
United are set to make an offer in January, with reports suggesting Chelsea are also interested in signing the defender as a long term successor to Ashley Cole.
