Underage hurling board agm set to debate 9 motions as officers to remain on

The issue of discipline and possible changes to the playing calender are set to be discussed at tonight’s agm of Bord na nOg iomaint in Ennis tonight.

All current officers will be returned unopposed while 9 motions ranging from forcing all amalgamated teams to play in divison one of their grade  as well as having Clare’s Feile competiton run off over just two weekends will be up for discussion

Tonight’s meeting of the underage hurling board is set to debate  a number of proposals dealing with changes to competiton structures in the county

Among one of the most interesting proposals is a motion from Cratloe that amalgamated teams should only be allowed play in Divison one of their grade while Tulla are hoping that Saturday games can be avoided  when  players and selectors are unavailable due to work committments.

Wolfe Tones have also proposed that in line with their football counterparts the  Clare Feile Iomaint be run off over 2 weekends.

There are 9 motions in total to be discussed with all current officers set to be returned unopposed and   the current financial situation of the board will also be revealed.

The ugly scenes which marred the Minor A final is also set to be raised with the report on the match set to be published next week.

Proceedings get underway tonight at the Auburn lodge hotel at 8pm.
