Under-21 Bosses Agree Players Need To Be Helped

The management of the All-Ireland winning Clare Under-21 hurlers has backed the calls of the county board chairman to keep the cream of the county’s hurling talent at home.

On Clare FM’s Morning Focus today, the calls were echoed by managers Gerry O’Connor and Donal Moloney, who say such an initiative is key in turning underage success to senior glory.

Meanwhile, Westmeath’s James McGrath will referee the All Ireland final replay between Galway and Kilkenny on Sunday week.

McGrath has previously taken charge of the Minor and Under-21 All Ireland finals, as well as this year’s Leinster final between the Kilkenny and Galway.

Alan Kelly of Galway will referee the Minor replay between Tipperary and Dublin.
