UCC are the Fitzgibbon Cup champions once more.
The Cork college defeated Mary Immaculate college in the final at Pearse Stadium this afternoon, 2-17 to 2-12.

Cork senior Conor Lehane was to the fore for the champions, chipping in with 1-10, but they could never fully shake of a dogged Mary I team who had three Claremen in their midst.
Captain John Conlon scored their first goal, while Cillian Fennessy and Colm Galvin also started for Mary I, but they ended up five-point losers.

Also in colleges hurling today, Feakle’s Shane Mc Grath was named man of the match as his LIT Tipperary side deafeated IT Tralee 1-24 to 2-9 in the Ryan Cup Final.
