Tyrone overcome Down in UIster

Tyrone reached the Ulster quarter final, after beating Down by 3-11 to 12 points in the replay of the Ulster preliminary round. 

They now face Monaghan in the last 8 of the Ulster Championship on June 15th.

This afternoon, Derry take on Donegal in the Ulster Senior Football Quarter-Final. 

Both sides come into the game in good form, having both had good Allianz League campaigns. 

Derry reached the Division One final, where they lost to Dublin. 

Donegal, meanwhile, won promotion to Division One after finishing top of the Division 2 table. 

Derry start with three championship newcomers in their side, with goalkeeper Thomas Mallon, full back Gareth McKinless and right half back Kevin Johnston named.

Sean Leo McGoldrick also returns from a knee injury.

Donegal, meanwhile, have Neil Gallagher available, after he overcame an ankle injury. 

Ryan Mc Hugh and Ordhan Mac Niallias also make their first Ulster Championship starts in the half forward line.

Throw in at Celtic Park is at 2pm. 

The Connacht Senior Football championship also continues this afternoon, as Galway travel to Ruislip to take on London in the Quarter-Final. 

That game gets underway at 3pm.
