Clare remain unbeaten in this year’s National Ladies Football League Division 3 Campaign after defeating Sligo this afternoon.
The second round clash saw Wayne Freeman’s side make the most of home advantage in Clarecastle, with goals from Fidelma Marrinan putting them ahead by 2-5 to 1-3 at the break.
The Banner kept the pressure in the second half with two more goals from Joanna Doohan and Marrinan who finished with a personal tally of 2-3.
The final score was Clare 4-11 Sligo 2-6.
