Eire Óg were first into the hat after a 1-19 to 1-17 win over Clarecastle, while Feakle also progressed after beating O'Callaghans Mills 3-15 to 2-12.
Champions Sixmilebridge put their name in the hat for the playoff round with a 3-11 to 1-12 win over Kilmaley, while Tulla consigned Inagh/Kilnamona to the relegation scrap with a 2-12 to 1-12 win.
Ballyea progressed to the playoff round and knocked Newmarket out of the championship with a 0-12 to 0-7 win last evening.
