United hammered 10 man Wigan 5-0 at old Trafford to move level on points with City.

City stay top on goal difference after a scoreless draw away to West Brom.

Elsewhere bottom side Blackburn earned a valuable point away to Liverpool – it finished 1-1 at Anfield.

It also finished 1-1 between Sunderland and Everton.

and Newcastle won 2-0 away to Bolton.

Earlier on Chelsea missed out on the chance to leapfrog Spurs into third place.
