Two of the groups in this years TUS Clare senior hurling championship reach their conclusion later today.
The line up for the quarter finals will begin to take shape; while it will be saving their senior status will be the focus for others
Group One will be the first to be decided, with three teams still in the running for a quarter final spot.
Clonlara sit top of the table ahead of their clash with Crusheen in Dr Daly Park; while Sixmilebridge need to beat Doora Barefield in Zimmer Biomet Pairc Chiosóg to have a shot at progressing.
As it stands, Doora Barefield are in the greatest danger of facing the relegation battle.
Both those games are set for 4.30pm starts.
Top spot in Group 4 is already decided after back to back wins for Kilmaley, and they face a Scariff side in Zimmer Biomet Pairc Chiosog who will be looking at the relegation series regardless of the result.
The real drama here will come in O’Garney Park Sixmilebridge, when it’s a winner takes all showdown for Ballyea and Cratloe.
Ballyea only need to draw to progress, with both those games underway from 6.30pm this evening, and we will have commentary from Sixmilebridge thanks to Custy Construction.
