Two Clare World Handball Champions

Clare’s new World Handball Champion says he’s delighted to have achieved the honour.

Tuamgraney’s Diarmuid Nash captured the 23 and Under World 40 x 20 title, beating Caolan Daly in the final on a scoreline of 21-6, 21-4.

Speaking to Clare FM, he said it was the title he wanted above all others.
There’s also been world champion success for Colin Crehan from Kilkishen  – who Won his Under 17 Handball final Final – beating Ryan Harkin from Mallow.

However there was heartbreak for  Clooney’s Fergal Coughlan  who was beaten by Tipperary’s Daniel Hayes in the Under 15 Final

John Cawley also lost out in his  Golden Master B Singles Final to Limerick’s Conor McDonnell
