The Clare man tasked with plotting Ireland’s charge for Olympic glory in showjumping next year admits he would’ve preferred not to have a twelve month wait for the Games.
Tuamgraney’s Michael Blake is the high-performance director for the Irish showjumping team having been appointed to the role last year.

Had the games been held last summer, Ireland would have been going to Tokyo as Super League Nations Cup champions.
Blake admits he would’ve preferred an Olympic campaign sooner – but says his squad will be ready to hit the ground running next summer.
