Townies Dump County Champions From Championship

Kilmurrys Ibrickanes hopes of a three in a row have been dashed again after defeat to Eire Og in their Senior Football Championship quarter final.

The Townies progress to the semi final after a narrow 2-05 to 0-10 win in Kilmihil this evening.
 
The game was delayed for over half an hour in the first half as a result of an injury picked up by Eire Og’s Darren O’Neill
 
He was removed from the field by ambulance with a suspected Collarbone injury.
 
Elsewhere today, Lissycasey booked their place in the semi finals after a 0-09 to 1-05 win over Ennistymon after extra time.
 
The Senior Round 2 clash of Clondegad and Wolfe Tones ended in victory for Clondegad on an 0-11 to 0-07 scoreline.
 
Shannon Gaels captured a one point victory over St Breckans in their relegation play off in Miltown, that ended 1-07 to 0-09.
 
Kilmihil hosted the Senior B Championship clash of St Josephs and St Senans.
 
That finished in victory for Doora Barefield by just a 2 point margin, 2-12 to 4-04.
 
 
In The Intermediate Football championship, Kilmihil and St Josephs Miltown will meet in the final after semi final victories today.
 
Kilmihil recorded a 1-10 to 0-06 win over Kildysart, while St Josephs Miltown beat Corofin by 0-06 to 0-03.
