Ennis Track athlete Karl Fitmaurice finished inside the top 60 of the U23 mens race this morning at the European Cross Championships.
The newly crowned national champion came home 59th in Sardinia, with team mate Mitchell Byrne in 67th.
Fionnaula Britton finished fifth in the senior womens race, while Paul Pollock was the first Irish man home in the mens race, finishing in 36th spot
