The C.C.C.C have proposed a one match ban on Tipperary’s Jason Forde following his tangle with Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald in the Allianz league semi final.

Forde, who had been facing a two match ban under the rule of assaulting an official or mentor, was given a one game suspension on the lesser charge of contributing to a melee.

The punishment means he’ll miss their Munster championship game with Cork this month although he can appeal the decision to the Central Appeals Committee.
