Tipp were always in control of the game, with two first half goals from Seamus Callanan seeing them lead 2-12 to 0-12 at the break.
There was a glimmer of hope for Limerick after a Shane Dowling penalty helped close the gap to the minimum, but another goal from Jason Forde ended the game as a contest before subsitute Michael Breen added a fourth to put the icing on the cake.
