Free-taker Shane Hennessy has been ruled out of the game at Cusack Park with cruciate ligament damage.
Clare boss Eamon Fennessy made two changes for the game, drafting Ciaran Cooney and Liam O'Donovan into the starting fifteen, and the manager is hoping his side can step up on the intensity they showed against Kerry last week.
Throw-in at Cusack Park is at 7pm.
