Times set for Saturday’s local GAA action.

The Clare Football Championship semi-final replay between Kilmurray Ibrickane and Kilrush will take place in Doonbeg, with a 2:30 throw-in.  Then, at 4:45 in Cusack Park, Clonlara meet Newmarket-on-Fergus in the first of the county hurling championship semi-finals.

The second last four clash, between Inagh Kilnamona and Cratloe, will be held on Sunday.

Ahead of this weekend’s hurling action, a member of the Clonlara hurling management says he believes the presence of Liam Sheedy in the Newmarket dugout could have a big bearing on their encounter.
