Thurles win Munster club hurling title

Thurles Sarsfields were crowned Munster Hurling champions after a 1-21 to 1-16 win over De La Salle.

The Leinster semi-final between Ballyhale Shamrocks and Oulart-The-Ballagh was called off due to a waterlogged pitch in Wexford Park.

St. Brigids are the Connacht Football Champions for the third year in a row after a 1-12 to 6 points win over Ballaghadereen in Castlebar.

Meanwhile Portlaoise and Ballymun Kickhams will contest the Leinster final.

Portlaoise beat Emmet Og Killoe by 1-11 to 2-5 at O’Moore Park while Ballymun got the better of Sarsfields by 1-8 to 5 points in Newbridge.
