St Joseph’s Doorabarefield are celebrating this morning after a book about the club by goalkeeper Christy O Connor claimed the William Sports Book of the year.

O Connor’s "the Club" details the 2009 season as the club competed in the county senior hurling championship and also how the club dealt with the death of former player Ger Hoey as well as O Connor’s own daughter.
He told Clare FM winning the award is a tribute to all involved in its publication:
