A member of the Clare minor hurling backroom team feels the squad have gained great experience from their championship run to date.

A sixth competitive game of the season awaits Brian O’Connell’s side when they go to Kenny Park Athenry to face Galway in the first game of the All Ireland round robin series.

Clare will also face Laois in the three team group, with the top two teams coming through to reach the All Ireland semi-finals.

Former All Ireland winner and Clare selector Cyril Lyons says it has been a brilliant run to date, and they’re hopeful there is more to come
