Ballyea will face familiar opposition when they begin their bid for a third consecutive senior hurling title.

Among them will be an Inagh-Kilnamona team who they beat in the decider two years ago.

Joining them in Group One are last years intermediate champions Doora Barefield, along with Scariff and Kilmaley.

Group Two sees Sixmilebridge paired with neighbours from both sides of their parish borders, as they meet Clonlara and O’Callaghans Mills, along with Crusheen.

There’ll also be plenty local interest in Group Three where Cratloe, Newmarket and Wolfe Tones are joined by Clooney-Quin.

Last years beaten finalists Eire Og have been drawn alongside neighbours Clarecastle, and the East Clare duo of Feakle and Broadford.

In the senior football championship, holders Eire Og will meet Clondegad, Miltown and Doonbeg in the group stages.

Kilmurry Ibrickane and Corofin are the seeded teams in Group One, where they’re joined by Doora Barefield and St Breckans.

Group Three will see Kildysart begin life at senior level by taking on Ennistymon, Cratloe and Lissycasey.
