Following today’s action in round 3 of the senior hurling championship Newmarket on Fergus, Tubber and O’Callaghans Mills are through to the Senior Championship Quarter finals.
Newmarket beat Tubber on a score line of 0-17 points to 1-11, but in Clarecastle, Tulla had a 5-12 to 0-20 point win over Kilmaley, meaning Tubber advance.
The Mills are through to the last eight by virtue of their Senior B win over Eire Og, that ended 2-24 to 2-11.
The draw for the quarter finals takes place tomorrow evening, with the County Board expected to officially confirm the line up of Ballyea, O’Callaghans Mills, Newmarket, Tubber, Clonlara, SixmileBridge, Inagh/Kilnamona & Crusheen ahead of the draw.
Elsewhere in the senior B fixtures, Smith O’Brien’s beat Ruan 3-13 to 2-12, but they still face a relegation playoff.
