Tottenham left it late to beat Hull City at White Hart Lane, a late Soldado penalty gave Spurs the points.
Sunderland won their first league game of the season as they beat Newcastle 2-1 in the North-East derby. Fabio Borini scored a spectacular winner late in the game.
And Swansea drew 0-0 with West Ham at the Liberty Stadium.
