Successful weekend on the field for Clare GAA

 

The county’s footballers recorded a win over Longford in the National League yesterday – a Gary Brennan goal was crucial in their 1-07 to 0-08 victory at Cusack Park.

Meanwhile, Clare’s hurlers had an easier time of it in their clash with Kerry on Saturday

Ger O’Loughlin’s men ran out 20 point winners, in a final scoreline of 6-23 to 1-18.

Elsewhere Galway have moved top of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1 after beating Anthony Daly’s Dublin 2-11 to 14 points at Parnell Park.

At the other end of the table Offaly beat Wexford 2-15 to 1-16

It finished 1-14 a piece between Cork and Tipperary at Pairc Ui Caoimh and Kilkenny defeated Davy Fitzgerald’s Waterford by 2-16 to 1-13 at Nowlan Park.

In Division2 there were wins for Limerick, Down and Antrim over Carlow, Laois and Westmeath.
