Success for Glynn and Flatfoot Boogie

Spancil Hill trainer Noel Glynn has had his patience rewarded with success at Cork yesterday.

Glynn has seen his own Flatfoot Boogie ran only once before yesterday’s maiden hurdle, despite being eight years old, but the wait was rewarded when the 16-1 shot landed the two miles and three furlongs race.

Running in Glynn’s own colours, and with Andrew McNamara on board, Flatfoot Boogie was always prominent and stayed on strongly to beat favourite Hilltop Tommy by one length.

Afterwards, Glynn said he was delighted.
