Clare clubs competing the the county senior hurling championships know what they have to do after Round 2 was held throughout the weekend.
Defending their Canon Hamilton title, Newmarket on Fergus are two points clear at the top of Group 1 on 4 points with 2 wins from 2. Kilmaley follow in second, just ahead of Tubber in third by one point on scoring difference, while Tulla with 2 losses remain bottom of the group.
It’s Crusheen with the outright lead in Group 2 with 2 victories so far in their campaign. Cratloe are just ahead of Inagh Kilnamona on scoring difference, while St.Josephs remain at the foot of the Group 2 table after their loss on Saturday to Cratloe.
Clonlara hold the top spot for Group 3, followed by Sixmilebridge, who just edge out Clarecastle with 7 points of a scoring difference. Clooney Quin remain bottom of group 3.
The Senior B standings see Group 1 being led by O’Callaghans Mills, followed by Ruan, Eire Og and Smith O’Briens who remain pointless.
Group 2 is led by Ballyea on 4 points, Scarriff and Broadford are both on 2 points but broadford have the edge on scoring difference, while Wolfe Tones remain rooted to the bottom facing a relegation battle with no wins.
