Both sides were already assured of Cusack Cup football in 2017.
Meanwhile Meelick were beaten in the Munster Junior Club Football Championship.
They lost out to Gabriel Rangers of Cork by 2-11 to 0-2
There was also disappointment for the Banner Ladies this weekend.
They lost out to Mourneabbey in the Munster A Club Football Final.
2016 saw the Clare champions win their sixth consecutive county title and the Munster B crown
