- The East Clare outfit are in pole position to take the top spot in Group Two after overcoming fellow former Munster champions Truagh Clonlara last time out.
- They face neighbours Feakle-Killanena on Friday evening where victory would leave them all but assured of the prime semi-final spot.
- Meanwhile, St Joseph’s Doora Barefield and Tulla are facing a crucial game to save their status in the Clare Credit Unions senior camogie championship this weekend.
- The sides meet in Clooney this evening, knowing that victory will likely see them avoid dropping out of the top tier for 2027.
- Next year will see a reduced number of teams competing for the McMahon Cup and a new Premier Intermediate grade being introduced.
