The matchplay portion of this year’s South of Ireland Championship is continuing at Lahinch today.
The first two rounds were staged yesterday, and saw the end of the hopes of the last remaining Clare competitor, Lahinch member Thomas Neenan, who lost by one hole in his second matchplay contest.

Kilkenny’s Mark Power and Reece Black of Hilton Templepatrick, who were the top scorers in the 18-hole qualifying round, are among those still involved as the competition is whittled down to the last 16 ahead of today’s play.
